This project consisted of the complete renovation of the lobby, Concierge Lounge, 646 rooms and suites, all of the public elevators and the conversion of the basement, pool and sub-basement into offices and banquet/meeting rooms. The hotel was fully occupied during renovaion. This project was unique in that the only way materials could get to the lower levels was through a 4'x8' opening which had been cut in the sidewalk along 48th street.
